In 1912, a Swiss doctor won the Nobel Prize in Medicine. A few years earlier at the healing waters of Lourdes, France this doctor witnessed something that forever changed his view on life, science and philosophy. David Romanelli’s 2 hour vinyasa flow workshop will stretch, lift, twist, and open your tightest muscle of all...the brain. Little shifts in the mind can do wonders on the body. Rockin tunes, a splash of wine, a little inspiration, and the magic of optimism!
Since 2004, David Romanelli has been traveling the world sharing his Yoga + Chocolate and Yoga + Wine experiences. The purists have been known to challenge his blending of ancient tradition with modern tastes, sounds, and passions. But those who prefer their yoga coated in chocolate, seasoned with humor, and lavished with Marley have enjoyed his workshops and debut book Yeah Dave’s Guide to Livin’ the Moment: Getting to Ecstasy through Wine, Chocolate, and Your Ipod Playlist.
David has been featured in O Magazine, Newsweek and The New York Times and last year his book reached #1 on the Amazon.com Self-Help Bestseller List. David is co-founder of At One Yoga in Scottsdale, AZ. Check out his website: www.yeahdave.com

Want the best holiday gift that Westchester has to offer for your body, mind & spirit?
Come join Jacqui as she shares her uniquely designed Flow 31 practice with her spirited yoga community on Christmas Eve morning, 12/24 & New Year's Eve morning, 12/31 @ 9:30am.
Flow 31, as it's name suggests, is a carefully combined set of Bikram & Vinyasa yoga postures that are specifically designed for any fitness level - beginner, intermediate or advanced. Each posture in the choreographed sequence is designed to maximize strength, flexibility & endurance. It's hot & effective - and, of course, any class that Jacqui teaches is always challenging & fun.
This is also a wonderful opportunity for yogis & yoginis who predominantly practice Bikram yoga to add a Vinyasa like flow to their practice. We won't be surprised if trying Jacqui's Flow 31 classes will open a door for our Bikram practitioners to try our other Vinyasa classes as well. In the midst of yet another busy holiday season don't miss this opportunity to take your practice to a whole new level with Jacqui's Flow 31. It is her gift to your body, mind & spirit. It is your gift of commitment & renewal to yourself as well.
Since Jacqui's Flow 31 classes are offered only on special occasions, they have been drawing quite the crowd so please arrive 10-15 minutes early to reserve a spot on our floor. Members & non-members welcome.
See you in class! Namaste.
p.s. For the New Year's Day class, we think it's good karma to end the 31st day of December 2009 with 31 amazing asanas from Jacqui.

“The teacher trainings have taken on an interesting dynamic. Even though our main focus is training teachers, it becomes a consciousness/transformational workshop.
Doing two Hot Yoga classes a day, learning the proper skills to communicate the information to future students and exploring the history of yoga is only the curriculum. What ends up happening is Self-Realization.
The entire training helps to raise consciousness and self awareness by processing out blockages that stop us from being more effective in our lives. So the training isn’t only for people who want to teach yoga. If you are looking for a remarkable personal growth experience, I invite you to participate in the next Teacher Training Program and join our Hot Yoga family!”

Bryan initially studied in Hawaii with David Williams, the first person to bring Ashtanga yoga to America, then he studied in India with K. Pattabhi Jois. Now at 45 years of age, Bryan Kest has been practicing yoga for more than 30 years and teaching for more than 26 years. He developed the Original Power Yoga in 1979. Bryan is the founder of three yoga studios in Southern California, he teaches workshops and retreats throughout the world. He provides an intensive teacher training program and is featured on a variety of videos and audio CDs.
Practicing yoga means strengthening not just the body but even more importantly, the qualities of our mind that actually have the largest impact on our physical well being. Qualities of mind that have the biggest impact on our health and happiness. They are like anything else in the sense that if you feed them, they will grow big and strong and if you don't, they will weaken and die.
Since our physical practice is such a fertile environment for most all of these qualities to arise, our physical practice becomes an opportunity to strengthen the qualities we want to be strong and to weaken and eradicate the qualities we find harmful. Having a toned and supple physique certainly has its benefits, yet real health and contentment come from a calm and peaceful mind.
